The Cuban band TradiSón, as its name suggests, specializes in the son, a musical form that combines Afro-Cuban rhythms and Spanish melody. The group also performs other lively Cuban musical genres such as guaracha, guajira, and bolero, exuding joy in every performance. TradiSón features lead singer Gilberto Noriega (Cuquito), guitarist Benito Torres (El Beny), percussionist Amaury Rodríguez, tres player Miguel Delgado, and bassist and vocalist Guillermo Linares.
TradiSón is the
house band at La Bodeguita del Medio restaurant in Havana, famous for its
mojitos and its storied clientele, including Ernest Hemingway and Pablo Neruda.
The band performed its first-ever U.S. shows in New Mexico!
