Basque artist Izibene Oñederra’s powerful, cutting-edge works have continued to delve deeply into uncomfortable themes. Her animated film Lursaguak (Scenes of Life) is a dark, grotesque commentary on the human condition, in which millions of voles of an unknown species are undermining the conceptual basis of a thousand-year-old culture.
2019; no dialogue; 12 minutes; not recommended for children under 16.
