Festival Ballet Albuquerque presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a one-act ballet by Patricia Dickinson Wells commemorating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. The Bard’s most popular comedy, set in a mythical Athens & an enchanted forest, portrays the adventures of 4 young lovers as they interact with woodland fairies, sprites and dragonflies led by Titania and Oberon. Other pieces in the program include BLUE JEAN BLUES (like SHOSTAKOVICH), played live by the Mystic Vic Blues Band, Shostakovich Variations by Patricia Dickinson Wells & QUANTUM by Kevin Gallacher plus works by Beth Griffin and Kelsey Gorelick Barrows.
