National Institute of Flamenco & the NHCC present PLATA: 25 Years of Yjastros
PLATA is a thrilling, full-length work by Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company. Celebrating 25 incredible years of this powerhouse company, PLATA features a return to the stunning flamenco repertory format that has delighted audiences for decades. The concert features choreographies by Artistic Director Joaquín Encinias, visiting guest artist and dancer Ricardo Moro, (Madrid), Yjastros’ own Carlos Menchaca, and past international collaborators, Carmen Coy (Murcia), Jesús Perona (Málaga), and Florencia Oz (Sevilla/Santiago de Chile) along with musical guests, singer María del Mar Fernández and guitarist Ángel Ruiz (Córdoba).
