This heartbreaking documentary, created by the young Argentine filmmaker Abril Dores based on real events, explores the relationship between a genocidal father and his daughter. It is an inquiry into family ties and the deep emotions that bind us to people we do not always consider worthy of our love. It is a brilliant cinematographic work that confronts us with our inner demons and taboos.

Synopsis: Analía Kalinec wakes up every day knowing that her father is responsible for the death and disappearance of thousands of people. This is the story of a father-daughter relationship destroyed by the cruelest acts that human beings can perform.

In April, the Instituto Cervantes Vimeo channel will be filled with a selection of short films that focus on the concept of taboo from different perspectives, but always with a thoughtful and considered, rather than critical, look to place viewers in the realm of reflection.

Proceeding from the international film festival La Mirada Tabú, the eight short films in this online film series cover different styles and looks and address different hot topics in 21st-century society using different registers and genres: we will find dramas, comedies, parodies, animations… to learn to face our world from a critical conscience.
