A newly edited clip from The Vietnam War, by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, focuses on personal stories rather than the history, politics, or combat of the war. This excerpt is designed to open up conversations and allow deeper, more personal dialogue—emphasizing the struggles of the veteran community from different generations as they come together to process their experiences of war and return. It features “Fellow Warriors: Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam with John Musgraves.” Following the screening, audience members may move into a comfortable space to share stories, talk about personal experiences, and gather information from local veterans’ service providers. Staff from the Albuquerque Veteran Center will help facilitate conversation; information from the Mobile Vet Center in Santa Fe will also be available. Presented in partnership with New Mexico PBS as part of the Bank of America Free Thursday Film Series.
