The Hispanic Genealogical Research Center of New Mexico welcomes Linda Tigges PH.D.. Author, Historian, Archivist Researcher, Dr. Tigges’, extensive research into New Mexico Spanish Colonial documents uncovered extensive and interesting topics and works published in her outstanding writings, books and in presentations!
Working with translators of Spanish Colonial documents, Linda Tigges, PH.D. has published primary source materials which have been foundational in many fields of research. Over the past decade, Linda’s works have assisted geneologists, anthropoligists, historians, museum curators, and novelists with accounts from original Spanish Colonial documents. These documents tell the stories of New Mexico’s 18th century founders and settlers through their mishaps, grievences, complaints and outrageous behaviors.
