Instituto Cervantes is launching a Spanish Book Club, for the time being, online.
This is a club aimed at people interested in literature, both Spanish speakers and students of Spanish with a minimum level of B2 (Advanced Level). In this term we will read Tarta de almendras con amor by Angela Vallvey, Un mar violeta oscuro by Ayanta Barilli, Ni siquiera los muertos by Juan Gómez Bárcena and A flor de piel by Javier Moro.
They will read and discuss the texts and talk with the authors, who will accompany the group during one of the two sessions dedicated to each book.
The club is coordinated by Dr. Celia López-Chávez, professor emeritus of the University of New Mexico. It is a unique opportunity to follow the literary dynamism of literary production in Spanish and to discuss literature and contemporary issues.
Registration is required. Register between August 12 and August 26. Cost is $50.
