Street of Too Many Stories by Denise Chávez is a novel of magical realism about four families on Encantada Street in a New Mexican town, exploring themes of love, pain, dysfunction, hope, mercy, and the healing of families. The story uses the street and its spirited inhabitants, including dancing spirits, to reveal the complex, layered realities of humanity and the liminal space between challenge and hope.
