Siempre Creativo: Colcha Embroidery

Denver-based artist Yvonne Vanessa Zamora will lead a hands-on Colcha embroidery workshop. She has taught a variety of workshops on the history and traditions of Colcha embroidery. Most recently at The Museum of International Folk Art, the Chimayo Museum and Museo de las Americas in Denver, Colorado. Her piece “Virgencita” is in the NHCC Art Museum’s permanent collection.

These workshops are part of the NHCC’s Siempre Creativo program, which provides free multidisciplinary arts programs for seniors.
