No experience is necessary to participate in this class. 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm—Advanced Class In order to participate in this class, dancers must come to at least one 6 pm class and be familiar with the vocabulary and movement introduced in these classes. Arte Poquito: Baila de Bebé
NHCC-Newsletter-August-11-–-2410:00 am Infants 0-18 months and their caregivers explore arts through traditional NM dance and other dance forms using ribbon sticks, rhythm instruments, and even flamenco. Arte Poquito is a free, monthly, 45-minute program for infants ages 0 to 18 months and caregivers that nurtures creativity and provides bilingual introductory arts experiences balanced with social interaction. Each program focuses on different aspects of Hispanic/Latine arts, including music, dance, and storytelling. NHCC instructors model the introduction of core arts concepts to infants and caregivers in a supportive environment. (more...)
Explorar las Artes: Baila Conmigo
NHCC-Newsletter-August-11-–-2410:00 am Children 18 months to 4 years and their caregivers will have the chance to explore arts through traditional New Mexico dance and other dance forms using ribbon sticks, rhythm instruments, and even flamenco. Explorar las Artes is a free, bi-monthly 45-minute program for toddlers ages 18 months to 4 years and caregivers that cultivates creativity and self-expression through the exploration of Hispanic/Latine arts and culture. Student Outreach: UNM John D. Robb Musical Trust with Alex Manzanares’ Ballet Folklorico Santa Fe

New Mexico Folk Dance for Seniors
Roy E. Disney Center for Performing Arts: Rehearsal Halls1:30 to 3:30 pm New Mexico Folk Dance will feature 4 weeks of traditional New Mexico music with dance classes such as La Marcha. Classes run for four consecutive Thursdays from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. New Mexico Folk Dance is part of the NHCC’s Siempre Creativo program, which provides a free multidisciplinary arts program for seniors. Free Community Event, generously supported by AARP New Mexico.
