SUMMARY:Siempre Creativo: New Mexico Folk Dance for Seniors
DESCRIPTION:1:30 – 3:30 pm \nNew Mexico Folk Dance for Seniors will feature 4 weeks of traditional Folk dance lessons\, including the traditional La Marcha dance\, taught by instructor Lucy Salazar. Classes run for four consecutive Wednesdays from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. On the day of the final class\, we will dance to live music for a fun-filled dance fiesta! \nNew Mexico Folk Dance is part of the NHCC’s Siempre Creativo program which provides free multidisciplinary arts programs for seniors. \nFree Community Event\, generously supported by AARP New Mexico. \nPlease register a maximum of 2 people for the Siempre Creativo art and dance classes to make space for everyone who would like to attend. Let us know who will be attending below.

This event offers 30 diverse classes in styles like Casino Salsa (Cuban Salsa)\, Rueda de Casino\, Rumba\, Salsa on 1 & 2\, Bachata\, Bachatango\, Kizomba\, Cha Cha Cha\, Cumbia\, Latin Hip Hop\, and more. From body movement to musicality and Guaguancó\, there’s something for everyone. \nPut what you learn into practice with 3 nights of incredible social dancing. Kick off the Festival weekend with Grammy Award-winning Spanish Harlem Orchestra at the Albuquerque Museum (2000 Mountain Rd NW) on Friday night.
