DESCRIPTION:12 pm (available for 48 hours)\nInstituto Cervantes Vimeo Channel Here \nInstituto Cervantes Albuquerque presents LGTBI+ en línea\, an online showcase of short subjects\, both feature films and documentaries\, by Spanish\, Colombian\, and Mexican filmmakers showcasing the individuality and creativity demonstrated in the exploration of distinct sexual identities. It is presented in collaboration with the National Hispanic Cultural Center as part of the Bank of America Free Film Series. \nAndrew Houchens’ short documentary Juan de las Brujas honors the fulfilling life and enduring legacy of Juan Medellín\, a founding member of the renowned Ballet Folklórico de Amalia Hernández who remained with the company for nearly 40 years. DESCRIPTION:3 pm\nLive via Zoom\, register for an audition by emailing odaradance@gmail.com \nThe NHCC’s annual celebration of Carnaval has been postponed because of the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions\, but we are not giving up on the celebration. While we work out the details\, the Odara Dance Ensemble will be holding online auditions on Saturday\, October 17th. Please register for an audition by emailing odaradance@gmail.com by October 15th. Be prepared to audition to various styles of dance\, including cultural elements of Cuba\, Trinidad\, Brazil\, and New Orleans. \nCarnaval\, the festive season occurring before Lent in many countries\, is one of the world’s most widespread celebrations and one of its biggest parties. Frank Leto Musical Ventures and the NHCC celebrate Carnaval annually at the Center with a festive and colorful evening of music\, dance\, and theatre\, featuring the Odara Dance Ensemble and the musical group PANdemonium. Carnaval 2020\, a dazzling spectacle of vibrant dance\, engaging music\, and beautiful costumes\, showcased the Carnaval traditions of Cuba\, Trinidad\, Brazil\, and New Orleans and marked the 15th annual Carnaval Celebration at the NHCC. \nFor more audition information click HERE \nPhoto by David Martinez
