PNM Rehearsal Hall 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM, United States1:30 to 3:30 pm New Mexico Folk Dance for Seniors will feature four weeks of traditional New Mexican folk dance lessons, including the traditional La Marcha dance, taught by instructor Lucy Salazar. Classes run for four consecutive Wednesdays in October and November, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. On the day of the final class, live music will be provided by La Rondalla for a fun-filled dance fiesta! A musical adaptation of Frank Baum’s classic tale: The Wonderful Wizard of OZ. The story starts with a cyclone that carries Dorothy and Toto to the magical Land of Oz. When Dorothy’s house squashes the Wicked Witch of the East, she is ecstatically thanked by the liberated Munchkins and given permission to wear the witch’s powerful sliver slippers.
