  • Festival Flamenco Internacional: New Mexico True Closing Celebration

    4 pm to 7 pm Join us for the New Mexico True Closing Celebration for Festival Flamenco Internacional de Alburquerque 2017. The closing celebration for the festival’s 30th year, sponsored by the National Institute of Flamenco, the National Hispanic Cultural Center, the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs, and the New Mexico Tourism Department, will feature an exciting and diverse showcase of national and international flamenco student groups.     10 pm to 1 am Join us for Festival Flamenco: The After Party to close out Festival Flamenco Internacional de Alburquerque’s 30th year! After our final show, we will be having a party on the National Hispanic Cultural Center’s Plaza Mayor, featuring the band Son Como Son.   • On Point Dance Studio Presents 2017 Summer Fiesta (Rental)

  • Bosque Chile Festival

    10 am to 7 pm A celebration of food, art, and culture on the Rio Grande, presented by Bernalillo County and the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Founded in 1988, DanzAbierta (translated as “open dance”) is a pioneer in Cuba’s avant-garde dance movement.     10 am to 5 pm Celebrate the NMJACL’s annual fall festival Aki Matsuri on Sunday, September 17th featuring Japanese cultural exhibits, vendor fair, musical demonstrations, Japanese art, Japanese food, Beer and Sake tastings and more! The New Mexico Japanese-American Citizens League (NMJACL) has been hosting Aki Matsuri (trans.: fall festival) for over twenty years.     10 am We'd like to let you in on a little secret. Each year, ¡Globalquerque! kicks off with a free concert for our local school kids. This mini-fest features two of our regular performers doing short sets as a way to introduce the kids to some cool different cultures. This year the participating bands are Trad.Attack!
