  • Bosque Chile Festival

    11 am to 7 pm Join in the celebration of the chile harvest on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. This is a free event and festivities include entertainment, kids’ activities, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, beer, wine, and chef demonstrations.   • ABQ Latin Dance Festival 2016: Orquesta Canela with Special Guest Micky Cruz

    6:30 pm to 12 pm Grab your dancing shoes and turn up the heat at the annual Albuquerque Latin Dance Festival! The four-day rhythm and movement celebration offers performances by world-class dancers as well as non-competitive dance showcases, parties, and workshops. Additional attractions include dance films, lectures, and live musical performances. The festival’s main concert on Saturday night features Orquesta Canela, a 14-piece all-women salsa band from Colombia, and Grammy-nominated artist Micky Cruz, for a magical night of music and dance on the NHCC’s Plaza Mayor.
