We apologize for any inconvenience. \n5:00 – 7:00 pm \nNHCC | HLA Conference Room \nStitch socially with us on the second Wednesday of the Month! Bring whatever knitting\, crocheting\, weaving\, or cross stitch\, or fiber art projects you’re working on\, and join the conversation with your fellow crafters for an informal craft get-together. If you would like to learn the basics of a particular stitching technique\, please bring supplies with you\, though we will always have basic crochet and knitting materials on hand for an impromptu demonstration! \nMeetings will be in the Conference Room of The History and Literary Arts building from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Want to pass down this knowledge to the next generation? If so\, please join the NHCC and Cornerstones Community Partnerships for this annual event! All ages are welcome. Please register in advance. Registration is suggested but not mandatory – all are invited to come watch. \nThis is a free community event\, sponsored in part by Cornerstone Community Partnerships. Please let us know who will be attending below. \nWear clothes you don’t mind getting muddy\, have a hat and sunscreen. Work gloves are not necessary but if you’ve got them\, bring them!  Please\, no open-toed shoes.

DESCRIPTION:NOTE: This event will be held in Salón Ortega due to construction in the NHCC Library. \n10:00 am \nNHCC | Salón Ortega \nStories come to life through art\, movement\, and more! For children ages 3 to 5 and caregivers. This month\, we will be exploring El Cuento de Ferdinando\, by Munro Leaf. This classic book tells the story of a bull who would rather smell flowers than fight in bullfights. \nSpanish Storytime is designed for children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers. For school\, childcare\, or homeschool groups; please reach out to the NHCC Educator\, Alé Padilla\, at alejandrina.padilla@dca.nm.gov or the NHCC HLA Interim Program Manager Robin Moses at robin.moses@dca.nm.gov to find out about group options\, available dates or any questions you might have about the program.
