Festival Ballet Albuquerque\, also known for its critically acclaimed productions of Firebird Ballet\, The Nutcracker Ballet in the Land of Enchantment\, Billy the Kid\, Coppelia\, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream\, performs a truly 21st century version of the 19th century love story that continues to capture the imaginations of young and old alike. “Dracula meets Lestat” in this dramatic vampire production\, featuring choreography by Patricia Dickinson Wells\, sets by John Malolepsy\, lighting by Eric Kennedy\, lavish costumes\, and flying trickery provided by Flying by Foy from Las Vegas. DESCRIPTION:7:30 pm \nFormed as a flamenco quartet in Barcelona in 2004\, Las Migas now performs a repertoire of “Mediterranean music\,” including lively Latin rhythms and pensive ballads. The members\, Alba Carmona\, Marta Robles\, Alicia Grillo and Roser Loscos\, come from four cities spanning both the geography of Spain and its cultural diversity—Barcelona\, Sevilla\, Córdova and Lérida. The group has headlined at major theatres and world music festivals throughout Europe; the upcoming tour is its first in the U.S. Their new show\, recently launched\, begins with an intimate\, personal approach and builds in emotional intensity\, showcasing the exquisite\, heartfelt style that has always characterized Las Migas’ music.
