4 pm Tickets will be available at the gate today, September 24th, starting at 4 pm ¡Globalquerque!, New Mexico's 12th Annual World Music & Culture Celebration, returns to the National Hispanic Cultural Center on September 23 and 24, 2016. This year's festival features three stages of music from five continents over two nights. Relax in the intimate courtyard setting of the Fountain Stage, enjoy larger bands in the state-of-the-art 691-seat Journal Theatre, or dance to groove-heavy world music on the Plaza Mayor’s outdoor Festival Stage. Disney Center for Performing Arts: Albuquerque Journal Theatre 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM7:30 pm Formed as a flamenco quartet in Barcelona in 2004, Las Migas now performs a repertoire of “Mediterranean music,” including lively Latin rhythms and pensive ballads. The members, Alba Carmona, Marta Robles, Alicia Grillo and Roser Loscos, come from four cities spanning both the geography of Spain and its cultural diversity—Barcelona, Sevilla, Córdova and Lérida. This will be the New Mexico premiere of Rossini’s little-known masterwork. Set against the exotic backdrop of war, intrigue, and conquest in medieval Sicily, Tancredi follows the romance between the exiled soldier Tancredi and the beautiful Amenaide. Chispa: New Latin Music Series: La Yegros

Disney Center for Performing Arts: Albuquerque Journal Theatre 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM8 pm While La Yegros now lives in Buenos Aires, her family comes from the rural rain forests of northern Argentina, bordering Brazil. She received classical conservatory training in music, and made her professional debut performing before thousands with experimental theatre troupe De La Guarda. Her diverse repertoire includes tropical rhythms, Argentine folk, reggae, dancehall, soul, and Arabic music.
