7:30 pm Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist, named to Paste magazine's list of 100 Best Living Songwriters, began performing together in 1990 in local Cincinnati clubs and gathering places. Bosque Chile Festival

11 am to 7 pm Join in the celebration of the chile harvest on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. This is a free event and festivities include entertainment, kids’ activities, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, beer, wine, and chef demonstrations. Bosque Chile Festival Hot After Dark Concert, Featuring Soul Divine

ABQ Latin Dance Festival 2016: Orquesta Canela with Special Guest Micky Cruz

6:30 pm to 12 pm Grab your dancing shoes and turn up the heat at the annual Albuquerque Latin Dance Festival! The four-day rhythm and movement celebration offers performances by world-class dancers as well as non-competitive dance showcases, parties, and workshops. Additional attractions include dance films, lectures, and live musical performances. The festival’s main concert on Saturday night features Orquesta Canela, a 14-piece all-women salsa band from Colombia, and Grammy-nominated artist Micky Cruz, for a magical night of music and dance on the NHCC’s Plaza Mayor. KumbaCarey: Afro-Dominican Traditions Across Borders, Congos & Salves

6:30 pm to 8:30 pm Take a journey through the exhilarating soundscape of Afro-Dominican music, which extends way beyond the renowned merengue and bachata.
