This night offers a MainStage showcase of some of New Mexico’s hardest working dancers\, dance teachers\, choreographers\, and dance students\, who may not have opportunities to demonstrate their art. The evening begins with an hour of dance shows in the Albuquerque Journal Theatre. At the end of the showcase\, Fausto Cuevas y La Moderna will perform in the HLA Fountain Courtyard. \n$20 w/ $2 discount for NHCC Foundation members\, children 12 years old and younger free \n \nFausto Cuevas y La Moderna\, the Monday night house band for the World Famous Floridita Restaurant in Los Angeles\,  California is a High Energy Salsa Band that takes Latin Tradition to Modern heights!!! From Cuban Guaguanco\, Yambu\, Salsa\, Cumbia\, Son\, y Chachacha Fausto’s unique blend of styles redefine the boundaries of today’s Salsa Band. When a 77-year-old man\, Daya\, wakes up from a strange nightmare\, he knows his time is up and he must get to Varanasi immediately in hope of dying there to attain salvation. His dutiful son\, Rajiv\, is left with no choice but to drop everything and make the journey with his stubborn father\, leaving behind his wife and daughter. \nThe two of them check into MuktiBhawan\, a hotel devoted to people hoping to spend their last days there. Rajiv finds himself having to take care of his father for the first time in his life. While Rajiv struggles to juggle his responsibilities back home\, Daya starts to bloom as he finds a sense of community in the hotel\, and a companion in the 75-year old Vimla.
