Diwali is one of the biggest Hindu festivals, celebrated in India with great enthusiasm and happiness for five continuous days. The third day is celebrated as the main Diwali festival, or “Festival of Lights,” and different varieties of colorful fireworks are always associated with this festival. New Mexico Young Actors: The Jungle Book

Disney Center for Performing Arts: Albuquerque Journal Theatre 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM2:00 pm New Mexico Young Actors presents The Jungle Book, based on The Mowgli Stories by Rudyard Kipling. We follow the adventures of the “man-cub” Mowgli, a boy who was raised by wolves in a jungle in India. The Jungle Book features a cast of more that two dozen youth, and a small orchestra which includes a sitar. $14 The event is a rental event not an NHCC production. New Mexico Music Hall of Fame 2022 Awards Show

Disney Center for Performing Arts: Albuquerque Journal Theatre 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM6:30 pm The New Mexico Music Hall of Fame award show is to recognize those who have made significant contributions to our state's musical culture. The process of choosing these musical heroes begins each year with the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame Awards Committee asking New Mexico citizens to nominate artists and innovators who they thought should be so honored.
