Film: La Pastorela, The Shepherd’s Tale

For decades, these rhythms have left an indelible imprint on music around the world. When American jazz musician Dizzy Gillespie first started incorporating these Afro-Latino rhythms in the 1940s, a new musical art form was born, Latin Jazz. An eclectic artist, he plays bluegrass, blues, folk, jazz, country and western, and rock and roll equally well. Bromberg has played with many famous musicians, including Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson, Jorma Kaukonen, Jerry Garcia, Rusty Evans (The Deep), and Bob Dylan.
