Arte para chiquitos
Salón Ortega 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM10:00 - 10:45 am Arte para chiquitos is a free, monthly, 45-minute program for babies and toddlers ages 0 months to 4 years and their caregivers that cultivates creativity and self-expression through the exploration of Hispanic/Latine arts and culture. Participants explore the NHCC Museum, Performing Arts Center, and engage in artmaking, music, movement, dance, drama, and bilingual story time. NHCC instructors model age-appropriate arts techniques that celebrate self-expression, build vocabulary, and strengthen both fine-motor and gross-motor skills in a fun environment. Ekphrastic Poetry Contest Reading
Roy E. Disney Center for Performing Arts: Bank of America Theatre 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM3:00 - 5:00 pm The winners and honorable mentions for the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs inaugural Ekphrastic Poetry Contest are invited to read their poems inspired by artwork on display at the Center and across the state. Broken into three unique performances, the studio’s classes will all have the opportunity to perform for friends, family, and the community. On Point Dance Studio: Dancing Through the Decades

The Albuquerque Folk Festival
NHCC Campus 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM• Gates open Sunday at 10:00 am. • The festival starts and 10:00 am and ends at 8:00 pm. • Evening dance(s) start at 5:30 pm. • Most workshops, kids’ tent, jams, storytelling, and musical instrument petting zoo start at 10:30 am and end between 4:30-5:30 pm Enjoy the Albuquerque Folk Festival this year! Kids under 12 & seniors 85+ enter for free at the gate day of festival.
