Awards Ceremony: Cervantes Drawing Contest for Students

Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM

3 pm to 4 pm Instituto Cervantes, the National Hispanic Cultural Center, and the Education Office-Embassy of Spain present the awards for a student drawing contest to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote. Students in three age categories, ages 6-8, 9-11, and 12-15 were invited to submit original drawings depicting any subject matter relating to either Don Quixote or Miguel de Cervantes. Making Art: Other Worldly Collage – Inspired by Fantasía Fantástica

10:30 am to 12:00 pm On the first Saturday morning of every month, join us for this fun and engaging docent- and artist-led family program. Aliento: Carnaval 2017, School Day Event

10 am Casa Flamenca and the NHCC present a school day event for Jesús Muñoz Flamenco in Red Note--original music and works by a cast of international dancers and musicians that explores dynamic, visionary movements in dance, music, and visual art inspired by cante flamenco.
