Gonzalez (Author), Lulu Delacre (Illustrator) The poem and traditional song "Don Gato" comes to life in this program! Explorar las Artes: Baila Conmigo

10:00 am Children 18 months to 4 years and their caregivers will have the chance to explore arts through traditional New Mexico dance and other dance forms using ribbon sticks, rhythm instruments, and even flamenco.  Explorar las Artes is a free, bi-monthly 45-minute program for toddlers ages 18 months to 4 years and caregivers that cultivates creativity and self-expression through the exploration of Hispanic/Latine arts and culture. 10:00 am The art of storytelling comes to life for children ages 18 months to 4 years and their caregivers with the eerie story of "Tía with the Tortilla." Noche de Familia

NHCC Campus 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM

5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Join us at the Center for an evening of Halloween fun for the whole family! Our Noche de Familia will feature trick-or-treating, artmaking, music, and a free screening of Coco at 7:00 pm. The screening is on a first come first served seating. Please arrive early to guarantee a seat. Free family event. Register in advance below. Día de Familia: Día de los Muertos

Decorate sugar skulls, craft a mini-ofrenda and marigolds, get your face painted, and contribute to our community ofrenda while you enjoy music and dance traditions of Día de los Muertos. Student Outreach: UNM John D. Robb Musical Trust with Alex Manzanares’ Ballet Folklorico Santa Fe

Arte Poquito: Teatro de Bebé

10:00 am Infants 0-18 months and their caregivers explore dramatic arts and even visit the NHCC Wells Fargo Theater. This multi-sensory program includes time for socializing and dramatic play. Arte Poquito is a free, monthly, 45-minute program for infants ages 0 to 18 months and caregivers that nurtures creativity and provides bilingual introductory arts experiences balanced with social interaction. Each program focuses on different aspects of Hispanic/Latine arts, including music, dance, and storytelling. 10:00 am Join us as we celebrate Indigenous People’s Month with a special reading of Estoy Orgullosa de Mi Pasado, by Amy White. Estoy Orgullosa de Mi Pasado tells the story of a Navajo girl named Tania. When she talks about her clan and their homes, about the clothes she wears, and about what her family produces, we can tell how proud she is of being a Native American girl. Free community event.
