SUMMARY:Diwali: The Festival of Lights
DESCRIPTION:5:30 pm \nIndia Association of New Mexico presents Diwali: The Festival of Lights. Diwali is one of the biggest Hindu festivals\, celebrated in India with great enthusiasm and happiness for five continuous days. The third day is celebrated as the main Diwali festival\, or “Festival of Lights\,” and different varieties of colorful fireworks are always associated with this festival. On this auspicious day\, people light diyas (lamps) and candles all around their houses. They perform Laxmi Puja in the evening and seek divine blessings from the Goddess of Wealth. The festival of Diwali is never complete without the exchange of gifts\, as people present Diwali gifts to all near and dear ones. \nTickets are $10\, and will be available at the door on the day of the show. \n \n\nThe title\, content\, photos/images and description for this event were provided to the NHCC by the organization renting the NHCC venue for the event.
