Festival Flamenco Alburquerque: Fiesta Flamenca

Featuring David Coria, Fuensanta "La Moneta," José Maya, Luisa Palicio and Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company. 8:30 pm NHCC | Albuquerque Journal Theatre National Institute of Flamenco and the NHCC present Festival Flamenco Alburquerque: “Fiesta Flamenca.” Fiesta Flamenca is the grand finale and a true highlight of Festival Flamenco Alburquerque, the largest and longest-running flamenco festival outside of Spain. We will be presenting films that preserve, promote and/or advance the vast cultural identity and experience of Hispanic/Chicane/Latine people. After an unsuccessful attempt by a community of Mayan Indians to improve their living conditions, the Guatemalan army destroys their village.
