With a libretto based on “Alì Babà and the Forty Thieves\,” the well-known and lively story from One Thousand and One Nights\, Alì Babà was composed by Giovanni Bottesini\, an Italian composer and double bass virtuoso known as the “Paganini of the bass.” \n$19\, $39\, $59\, $79\, $99; discounts for groups of eight or more and patrons 30 and younger \n \nThe opera premiered in 1871 in London\, with considerable acclaim and numerous performances. Later\, however\, the score was lost\, and it has not been heard in well over a century. When her employers decide that she needs help and hire an additional maid\, Raquel feels that she must fight for her place in the household. Additional choreographers for the production are director Patricia Dickinson Wells\, native New Mexican Dominic Guerra\, and internationally known Vladimir Conde Reche\, a native of São Paulo\, Brazil. Instituto Cervantes has offered this series since 2010\, presenting contemporary work by women filmmakers and focusing on women’s concerns and issues. \nA palabra xusta is a game invented by a teacher for her students\, in which each child writes\, in one word\, what s/he has learned in that day’s class. The answers are put on the board\, and everyone chooses the best—the right word. She has had no contact with Rubén since he broke off their relationship\, with no explanation and no farewell\, six years earlier.
