Tickets can also be purchased in the New Mexico Mutual Welcome Center\, depending on availability. Capacity for each tour is limited. \n \nA Vision of History through Fresco… \nMundos de Mestizaje by Frederico Vigil is a mural housed in the Torreón on the campus of the National Hispanic Cultural Center. This monumental fresco depicts thousands of years of Hispanic history highlighting diverse cultural connections between people and places from the Iberian Peninsula to the Americas. The 4\,000 square foot painting is one of the largest frescos in North America. \nThe digitized imagery of the painting ensures that this culturally significant work can be a sharing and learning experience for students and families anywhere. DESCRIPTION:9:30 am (MST) on the second Tuesday of the Month \nLive via Zoom on February 8 and hybrid: on Zoom and onsite beginning March 8\, 2022 \nOur Colcha community Workshop is open to all levels of experience in an informal setting. This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught this art form to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. She is also an award winning artist\, most recently recognized in 2019 at Santa Fe Spanish Market. Annette will demonstrate as well as answer questions. We hope you will join us every month on the second Tuesday\, for this virtual stitch-a-long.
