This monumental fresco depicts thousands of years of Hispanic history highlighting diverse cultural connections between people and places from the Iberian Peninsula to the Americas. Día de los Muertos: Despedida
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM5 pm - 7 pm Free Community Event The National Hispanic Cultural Center will hold its annual Despedida (Farewell) to celebrate Día de los Muertos with music, poetry, and hands-on art at this time-honored community gathering. This is a great event for all ages. Tour the ofrendas around the NHCC campus and enjoy music, poetry, traditional hot chocolate mexicano, pan de muerto, and the sharing of heartfelt memories. NHCC-BOD-January-2020-Meeting6 pm Vincent Valdez, a visual artist based in Houston, Texas, received his B.F.A. at The Rhode Island School of Design in Providence in 2000.
