The Mountains Wore Down to the Valleys Sound Installation and Exhibit Closing

10:00am – 4:00pm The Mountains Wore Down to the Valleys closes on April 23. In the final days of the exhibition, experience 21 musical compositions on vinyl records playing once more in the gallery as they erode and change over time. 9:30 am on the 4th Tuesday of each month Our Colcha community Workshop is open to all levels of experience in an informal setting. This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught this art form to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. She is also an award-winning artist, most recently recognized in 2019 at Santa Fe Spanish Market. Babies and toddlers ages 0 months to 4 years and their caregivers will have a chance to explore visual arts and even visit the NHCC Art Museum. This multi-sensory program includes time for socializing and art exploration. Arte Poquito is a free, monthly, 45-minute program for babies and toddlers ages 0 months to 4 years and their caregivers that cultivates creativity and self-expression through the exploration of Hispanic/Latine arts and culture. Tequila en El Torreón

6:00 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation is hosting a Tequila Tasting Event on June 29th, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the National Hispanic Cultural Center's Torreón. This includes tastings of five different tequilas, led by Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits Director of Mixology Michael Trujillo and a five-course food pairing by Chef Marcus Montoya.
