Happy Arte Hour
Domenici Education Building 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM6:00 pm to 8:00 pm NHCC invites adults for artistic fun in a relaxed social setting. This is a great opportunity for friends to hang out, a unique date night option, or a place to come solo and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase. During this month's Happy Arte Hour we will create mixed media collage with artist Micaela Seidel. Stitch Night
HLA Conference Room 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM5:00 to 7:00 pm Stitch socially with us on the second Wednesday of the Month! Bring whatever knitting, crocheting, weaving, or cross stitch, or fiber art projects you’re working on, and join the conversation with your fellow crafters for an informal craft get-together. If you would like to learn the basics of a particular stitching technique, please bring supplies with you, though we will always have basic crochet and knitting materials on hand for an impromptu demonstration! Colcha Community Stitch A-Long

This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught colcha, a Spanish Colonial embroidery style, to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. She is also an award-winning artist, most recently recognized in 2019 at Traditional Spanish Market in Santa Fe. Annette will demonstrate as well as answer questions. Genealogy Workshop

These workshops will provide participating seniors with the opportunity to participate in interactive tours of the NHCC Art Museum and Torreón, paired with genealogy workshops and coffee socials.
