2:00 - 4:00 pm NHCC | Salon Ortega Sacred Spring Reiki Collective will lead a healing circle for community members and organizers at the 2025 AfroMundo Festival: Troubled Territories—The Will to Heal.  This session will bring people together to heal in community; reminding us that we are all connected and are stronger and wiser together. Colcha Community Stitch A-long

9:30 am in-person 10:30 am Zoom Our Colcha Community Stich-A-Long is open to all levels of experience in an informal setting. This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught colcha, a Spanish Colonial embroidery style, to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. She is also an award-winning artist, most recently recognized in 2019 at Traditional Spanish Market in Santa Fe. Annette will demonstrate as well as answer questions. Saturday Special- Torreón Tour: Mundos de Mestizaje

11:00 am In addition to our regularly scheduled Thursday and Friday Torreón Tours, the National Hispanic Cultural Center now has a newly added Saturday Tour on the second Saturday of every month. This is a guided tour of the Mundos de Mestizaje fresco created by artist Frederico Vigil, located in the Torreón on the NHCC Campus, depicting thousands of years of Hispanic culture, history, and identity.
