  • Shoes for the Santo Niño

  • Winter Spanish Market Weekend at the NHCC

    The 2017 Winter Spanish markets, presented by the Spanish Colonial Arts Society, will be held on the NHCC campus Dec. 2-3. You will find authentic 400 year old traditions and innovative Spanish Colonial style artwork, made by New Mexico artists and enjoy the Hispanic festival.   • Opera in the Museum

    6 pm Enjoy a sampling of music from the sold-out opera based on Rudolfo Anaya’s beloved novel Bless Me, Ultima, surrounded by the artwork from the exhibit La Ultima Exhibición. This brand new opera, performed at the NHCC in February of this year, was commissioned by Opera Southwest, the NHCC, and San José-based Opera Cultura. The composer, Hector Armienta, worked with Mr. Anaya on the libretto. $20 (limited to 50)

  • Domingos en Arte: Son Como Son

    7:30 pm Son Como Son bills itself as "Salsa, Cuban Style." Founded in 1993, it is unquestionably one of Albuquerque's longest-standing and most popular salsa ensembles. They play regularly to packed audiences comprising highly animated and dedicated salseros at the NM Jazz Workshop's Salsa Under the Stars series; at the Cooperage; and at special concerts, such as those at the Telluride Jazz Festival.
