    6 pm – 7 pm Beginning and Intermediate - This class is geared for teenagers and adults. Come learn footwork, partner skills and choreography. No experience necessary. 7 pm – 8 pm Intermediate and Advanced - In order to participate in this class, dancers must know how to keep time, closed position calls, dame, enchufla, and outside turn.     7 pm Before Night Falls, based on the writer’s autobiography of the same name, is the story of Cuban poet and novelist Reinaldo Arenas, born in rural Oriente province in 1943. After joining the revolution that brought Fidel Castro to power in 1959, Arenas moved to Havana, where he joined a circle of writers and artists and gained critical acclaim for his own work.     10:30 am to 12:00 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center is pleased to offer free children’s programming during the summer. During June, July, and the first Saturday in August, families will be able to come to the Center on Saturday mornings for hands-on art activities, bilingual sing-alongs, outdoor activities in the Bosque and to explore the science of cooking on a rotating basis.     6 pm The award-winning New Mexico-based band Baracutanga explores and mixes the many danceable rhythms of South America.     7 pm Mondays in the Sun (Los lunes al sol) follows five unemployed shipworkers in the Spanish port city of Vigo. Down on their luck, they pass their time at La Naval, a bar that one of them opened after the shipyard closed, and face their futures in makeshift ways—encouraging each other to search for work, love, and the strength of hope for better days.  Santa, the unofficial leader and troublemaker of the group, dreams of one day going to Australia.   • Festival Flamenco Internacional: Compañía Marco Flores, Entrar al Juego

    8 pm Festival Flamenco Internacional de Alburquerque presents Compañía Marco Flores in Entrar al Juego. In this contemporary and very theatrical production, Flores manipulates space and experiments with time—slowing it down, speeding it up, and changing its direction to open up a temporary timeline from another world and trap people and objects in an alternative dimension. Flores’ first large-scale choreographic work, DeFlamencas, explored the female universe; his second creation, Tránsito, reflected his interest in looking within.
