  • Camina el Autor: The Iconography of Felipe Guamán Poma de Ayala, Peruvian/Quechuan Chronicler

    Camina el Autor showcases the extraordinary work of Guaman Poma; explores the history of the indigenous people of Peru, Andean civilization, and Spanish conquest; and broadens our understanding of Peruvian culture and history.The digital images and accompanying texts have been provided to the NHCC by the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with assistance from the Consulate General of Peru in Denver. The NHCC has curated these (398 fullpage drawings) to present a vibrant and informative exhibit that encourages learning, discovery, and contemplation. The Performing Arts Box Office will be closed Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, December 23rd, 24th & 25th and have special holiday hours of 12 pm to 5 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 26th 27th and 28th. Closed Sunday and Monday, December 29th and 30th but open on Tuesday, December 31st from 10 am to 5 pm. Closed on Wednesday, January 1st. (more...)
