Arte Para Chiquitos

The program will resume as scheduled in October. 10:00 – 10:45 am Arte para chiquitos is a free, monthly, 45-minute program for babies and toddlers ages 0 months to 4 years and their caregivers that cultivates creativity and self-expression through the exploration of Hispanic/Latine arts and culture. Participants explore the NHCC Museum, Performing Arts Center, and engage in artmaking, music, movement, dance, drama, and bilingual story time. Stitch Night

Bring whatever knitting, crocheting, weaving, or cross stitch, or fiber art projects you’re working on, and join the conversation with your fellow crafters for an informal craft get-together. If you would like to learn the basics of a particular stitching technique, please bring supplies with you, though we will always have basic crochet and knitting materials on hand for an impromptu demonstration! Instituto Cervantes Film Series: Con ton y son
Virtual2:00 am (MST) In this online film series, which will play throughout the month of September on the Instituto Cervantes Vimeo channel, we bring together, in collaboration with the Punto y Raya platform, four sessions with experimental pieces that allow us to explore the possibilities of the audio-visual image and abstraction as a form of creation: a freer creation, where form, color, movement and sound compose evocative messages. Mexican Independence Day Celebration in partnership with the Mexican Consul

On Sept. 12, the Center will be joined by the Consulate of Mexico providing a formal flag unveiling and the traditional Grito, a celebration announcement of independence.
