Families can come to the Center for hands-on art activities, bilingual sing-alongs, outdoor activities in the bosque, and story times in the Center’s library. For Vamos al Museo, Casas de Papel, on August 6th, we will return to the Art Museum’s exhibit The House on Mango Street: Artists Interpret Community and explore architecture, dome trusses, and columns. The event is open to the public and free to attend. Dr. Mari-Luci Jaramillo, was the first Latina to serve as United States Ambassador. She was assigned to the Republic of Honduras as Ambassador and later as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Latin America under the Carter administration.
