DESCRIPTION:6 pm \nDomingos en Arte\, the summer music and dance series presented by MelazaMusic and the National Hispanic Cultural Center\, enters its fourth season\, with concerts scheduled through August. We have invited a wide range of Latin artists for family-friendly summer Sundays that feature live music\, drinks\, and delicious Latin cuisine in the NHCC’s enchanting Fountain Courtyard. \nLa Diabla\, from Tijuana\, BC\, Mexico\, performing on July 7\, has been “cumbiando” since before it was cool. The band’s name comes from an old Celso Piña tune\, and their music can be powerful and aggressive\, romantic and cheerful\, even dark and macabre. DESCRIPTION:10:30 am \nDr. Joseph Sanchez and he will continue his lecture series on the History of New Mexico. \nThe fifth lecture in this series is: \nGovernors\, Missionaries\, Kachinas and the Holy Office of the Inquisition\, 1634-1659 \n\nAudiencias\, Inquisition Records and other Documentary Sources of the Period\n\nDr. Joseph Sanchez is an author\, historian\, and former Director of the National Petroglyph Monument. Internationally recognized he was awarded the Medalla de Acero al Merito Historico Capitan Alonso de Leon by the Sociedad Nuevoleonesa de Historia\, Geografia y Estadistica\, Monterrey\, Mexico in 2000. In 2005 he was inducted into the prestigious knighthood order of the Orden de Isabel la Catolica by King Juan Carlos of Spain.  Please welcome Dr. Joseph Sanchez.
