Playwright Monica Sanchez will be the guest instructor who will help Voces writers create their own monologues and rehearse them for staged readings. #ilovemonolgue  #writingislife #voces2019 #keepwriting \nABQ Poet Laureate Michelle Otero will join Voces students in WEEK THREE (June 17-22) for a Bosque walk and to provide training for Voces teens in how to engage the elderly in poetry.  Voces writers also tour the NHCC’s Braceros exhibit and create a devised dance movement piece with the students from Manos under the guidance of artist-in-residence Yvonne Montoya and Safos Dance Theater. This week ends with a very cool Saturday\, 2 pm performance and FLASH MOB with audience\, led by Voces and Safos. @safosdance #dancedance #poetry #writingislife #voces2019 #keepwriting \nDuring WEEK FOUR (June 24-28) Voces teens work with Faustino Villa to get ready for their public reading/performance on June 28th.  They’ll also screen their original Voces t-shirts and create/produce chapbooks of their writing. Chapbooks will be produced to give as gifts and to sell at the reading. Writers will also be finishing their prose and poetry for a Voces publication\, which will be published in July.  For all four weeks\, Voces writers receive feedback about their writing from their peers and guest writers. #publishedauthor #writingislife #voces2019 #keepwriting \nFRIDAY\, JUNE 28  – VOCES CELEBRATION will take place at 6 pm in the NHCC Bank of America Theatre. #performance #nostagefright #writingislife #voces2019 #keepwriting \nREGISTER: https://nhccnm.wufoo.com/forms/w150mzfo087z6fn/   Apply early to secure your place! \nQuestions?  Contact Valerie Martínez at valerie.martinez@state.nm.us
