Domingos en Arte: Redobles de Cultura

6 pm Domingos en Arte, the summer music and dance series presented by MelazaMusic and the National Hispanic Cultural Center, is completing its fourth season, with the final concert scheduled for August 18. We have invited a wide range of Latin artists for family-friendly summer Sundays that feature live music, drinks, and delicious Latin cuisine in the NHCC’s enchanting Fountain Courtyard. Redobles de Cultura is a collective of top New York City-based, next generation Afro-Puerto Rican and Afro-Caribbean bomba practitioners, cultural workers, and educators. No experience is necessary to participate in this class. 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm—Advanced Class In order to participate in this class, dancers must come to at least one 6 pm class and be familiar with the vocabulary and movement introduced in these classes. Festival Ballet Albuquerque: Sacred Journeys II

Saturday, at 7 pm Sunday at 2 pm Classical and contemporary dance combine with the eclectic music of two-time Grammy award-winning Taos Pueblo musician Robert Mirabal in this reflection of New Mexican cultures through dance, music, and spoken word. Mirabal collaborates with internationally renowned New York City Ballet dancer Jock Soto, of Navajo and Puerto Rican descent; Soto, who is originally from Gallup, NM, and will also make guest appearances onstage, now lives in Eagle Nest, NM. The Great River Irish and Scottish Music Festival featuring Saoirse and the Old Blind Dogs (Rental)

Festival hours 1:00 – 6:00 (Free) Concert begins at 6:30 pm The Great River Irish and Scottish Music Festival is an annual free outdoor festival from 1 pm to 6 pm with music and dance performances and workshops, followed by a ticketed concert. 4 pm ¡Globalquerque!, New Mexico's 15th Annual World Music & Culture Celebration, returns to the National Hispanic Cultural Center on September 20 and 21, 2019. This year's festival features three stages of music from five continents over two nights.
