This year's festival features three stages of music from five continents over two nights. Día de los Muertos: Despedida

5 pm to 7 pm Día de Muertos is an annual traditional holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and many Hispanic communities. Join the NHCC and experienced, knowledgeable local artists to learn about the meaning of this celebration, the traditional arts and crafts associated with the celebration and development of ofrendas that honor families and individuals. Join us Tuesday December 5th from 6:30-8:30 pm to view the books, make free photocopies from the collection, and enjoy a dance demonstration by the Rueda505 dancers at 6:45 pm. The Nutcracker Ballet in the Land of Enchantment

6 pm – 7 pm Beginning and Intermediate - This class is geared for teenagers and adults. Come learn footwork, partner skills and choreography. No experience necessary. 7 pm – 8 pm Intermediate and Advanced - In order to participate in this class, dancers must know how to keep time, closed position calls, dame, enchufla, and outside turn. Dance classes taught by Sarita Streng, Nick Babic, Adam "El Caballo" Metcalf, Larry Heard, and Rueda 505 Friends. In the meantime, a fun video from Rueda Con Ritmo Dance (more...)
