Classes run for four consecutive Wednesdays from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Latin Dance for Seniors is part of the NHCC’s Siempre Creativo program which provides a free multidisciplinary arts programs for seniors. \nFree Community Event\, generously supported by AARP. \nPlease register a maximum of 2 people for the Siempre Creativo art and dance classes to make space for everyone who would like to attend. DESCRIPTION:6:00 pm \nNHCC invites adults 21+ for artistic fun in a relaxed social setting. This is a great opportunity for friends to hang out\, a unique date night option\, or a place to come solo and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase. \nPlease pre-register below (so we know how many materials to prepare). Registration for the following month is available the day after the current program month. Donations are encouraged to support the artists & purchase supplies. \nJoin us for Color Mixing and Portrait painting with artist Vanessa Alvarado. Vanessa will provide instruction on image transfer and mixing paint to match colors on a printed image. With this foundational knowledge of color mixing and photo transferring\, anyone can be successful at painting a portrait. \nEach participant will create a small acrylic painting to take home.

SUMMARY:Arte Para Chiquitos
DESCRIPTION:10:00 – 10:45 am \nArte para chiquitos is a free\, monthly\, 45-minute program for babies and toddlers ages 0 months to 4 years and their caregivers that cultivates creativity and self-expression through the exploration of Hispanic/Latine arts and culture. Participants explore the NHCC Museum\, Performing Arts Center\, and engage in artmaking\, music\, movement\, dance\, drama\, and bilingual story time. NHCC instructors model age-appropriate arts techniques that celebrate self-expression\, build vocabulary\, and strengthen both fine-motor and gross-motor skills in a fun environment. \nFree Community Event. SUMMARY:Colcha Community Stitch A-Long
DESCRIPTION:9:30 am in-person\n10:30 am Zoom \nOur Colcha Community Stich-A-Long is open to all levels of experience in an informal setting. This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught colcha\, a Spanish Colonial embroidery style\, to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. She is also an award-winning artist\, most recently recognized in 2019 at Traditional Spanish Market in Santa Fe. Annette will demonstrate as well as answer questions. Join us every month on the fourth Tuesday\, in-person at 9:30am and on Zoom at 10:30am.
