Colcha Community Stitch A-long

9:30 am (MST) on the second Tuesday of the Month Live via Zoom on February 8 and hybrid: on Zoom and onsite beginning March 8, 2022 Our Colcha community Workshop is open to all levels of experience in an informal setting. This workshop is instructed by Annette Gutierrez-Turk. Annette has taught this art form to groups internationally and at the NHCC for many years. 10:00 am Listen to the rollicking story, Gazpacho for Nacho and then use your five senses to explore the tasty ingredients of gazpacho! By Tracey Kyle (Author) and Carolina Farías (Illustrator). Our gazpacho will be made with cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, garlic, onion, olive oil, pepper, salt, vinegar. For children ages 3 to 5 and caregivers Free. Register below. Explore creative dramatic movement and get inspired with a special presentation by Ehren Kee Natay for this family-friendly free event. Families can also visit the NHCC art museum for free and learn more about exhibits. Explorar las Artes: Hora de Cuentos Preescolares Bilingüe: Green is a Chile Pepper

Explorar las Artes is a free, bi-monthly 45-minute program for children ages 3-5 years old and caregivers that cultivates creativity and self-expression through the exploration of Hispanic/Latine arts and culture. Participants explore the NHCC museum and engage in artmaking, music, movement, dance, drama, and bilingual story time. NHCC instructors model age-appropriate arts techniques that celebrate self-expression, build vocabulary, and strengthen both fine-motor and gross-motor skills in a fun environment.  This program generously supported through a (more...)
