¡Baile! Rueda de Casino (Cuban Salsa) Dance Class
NHCC-Newsletter-August-11-–-246 pm – 7 pm Beginning and Intermediate - This class is geared for teenagers and adults. Come learn footwork, partner skills and choreography. No experience necessary. 7 pm – 8 pm Intermediate and Advanced - In order to participate in this class, dancers must know how to keep time, closed position calls, dame, enchufla, and outside turn. Bosque Chile Festival
NHCC Campus 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM10 am to 7 pm A celebration of food, art, and culture on the Rio Grande, presented by Bernalillo County and the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Join in the celebration of the chile harvest with entertainment, kids’ activities, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, beer and wine, a salsa competition, and chef demonstrations. New this year—agricultural education workshops and a green chile stew competition. ABQ Latin Dance Festival 2017: Timbalive
Plaza Mayor7 pm to 12 am The annual Albuquerque Latin Dance Festival, a three-day celebration of rhythm and movement, features performances by world-class dancers as well as non-competitive dance showcases, parties, and workshops. Additional attractions include dance films, lectures, and live musical performances. Friday night’s event, following Latin Dance Night in Old Town, is a fun-filled evening of salsa dancing at the NHCC.
