The ghost of a woman who died while crossing the border haunts the unwilling heroine Juanita\, the wife of a U.S. Border Patrolman. Juanita finds herself torn between the law of man and a higher law when she must decide whether or not to put her husband’s career and their marriage at risk in order to give the restless spirit the proper burial it demands. \nThis production is a world premiere and part of the Latina/o Theatre Commons’ El Fuego Initiative. DESCRIPTION:Saturday at 8 pm\, Sunday at 2 pm \n(Des)Encaracolarse uses flamenco to explore the myriad metaphors contained in a seashell. The world-class artists and performers in Alice Blumenfeld’s company journey through the curves and spirals\, echoes and reflections that make up the odysseys of shells. The title comes from a word invented by Pablo Neruda to show his obsession with shells. The members\, Alba Carmona\, Marta Robles\, Alicia Grillo and Roser Loscos\, come from four cities spanning both the geography of Spain and its cultural diversity—Barcelona\, Sevilla\, Córdova and Lérida.
