DESCRIPTION:8:00 pm Saturday & 2:00 pm Sunday \nNational Institute of Flamenco & the NHCC present Yjastros and invited guests in Flamenco Fandanguero \nThis November\, don’t miss FLAMENCO FANDANGUERO\, the groundbreaking work produced for Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company\, made in collaboration among the company’s Artistic Director Joaquín Encinias\, Choreographer Marisol Encinias\, Theater Director Alejandro Tomás Rodriguez\, Musical Director\, Sinuhé Padilla\, flamenco musicians Vicente Griego\, Isa Jurado\, and Ángel Ruiz\, and celebrated son jarocho musicians Los Vega: Fredi Vega\, Raquel Vega\, Kike Vega\, and Martha Vega. \nFLAMENCO FANDANGUERO is a thrilling work of dance\, music\, and theatre by Yjastros: The American Flamenco Repertory Company and special guests\, featuring over 30 musicians and dancers on stage! \n$109\, $89\, $69\, $49\, & $29* w/ a $2 discount for seniors\, students w/ID\, children 10 years old and younger\, and NHCC Foundation members. \nFLAMENCO FANDANGUERO is an unforgettable celebration\, and a conversation between flamenco and son jarocho\, distinct art forms that share a common ancestor. Awaken your heart to the true Spirit of Christmas in dance as Magnify Dance Ensemble will present the 41st season of its Bravos Award-winning holiday production\, Christmas Joy. Over sixty-five classically trained dancers will once again inspire audiences in the National Hispanic Cultural Center’s Albuquerque Journal Theater. They come to us with a collection of moving and inspirational classical ballet\, jazz and contemporary dance performances choreographed to traditional and contemporary Christmas music. \nA moving and uplifting production\, Christmas Joy has become an Albuquerque holiday tradition. Christmas Joy is the recipient of multiple awards including the Bravos Award for Dance Excellence in 1999 by members of the Albuquerque Arts Alliance\, and the Albuquerque Community \n$36-$42 w/ a $2 discount for students\, seniors and NHCC members.
