The National Spanish Spelling Bee is open to students in grades 4 through 8 who have placed in a state or regional Spanish Spelling Bee during the year of the National Bee. \nParticipants are encouraged to prepare using the official study materials\, which include a list of words and rules for the competition. The event aims to help children develop self-confidence\, communication skills\, and the ability to perform under pressure. \nFor more information\, including registration and resources\, you can visit the official website of the National Spanish Spelling Bee. SUMMARY:Saturday Special- Torreón Tour: Mundos de Mestizaje
DESCRIPTION:11:00 am \nIn addition to our regularly scheduled Thursday and Friday Torreón Tours\, the National Hispanic Cultural Center now has a newly added Saturday Tour on the second Saturday of every month. This is a guided tour of the Mundos de Mestizaje fresco created by artist Frederico Vigil\, located in the Torreón on the NHCC Campus\, depicting thousands of years of Hispanic culture\, history\, and identity. \nAdmission to the tour is $2 and tickets are available for advance purchase below. Tickets can also be purchased in the New Mexico Mutual Welcome Center\, depending on availability. Capacity for each tour is limited. \nA Vision of History through Fresco…\nMundos de Mestizaje by Frederico Vigil is a mural housed in the Torreón on the campus of the National Hispanic Cultural Center. This monumental fresco depicts thousands of years of Hispanic history highlighting diverse cultural connections between people and places from the Iberian Peninsula to the Americas. The 4\,000 square foot painting is one of the largest frescos in North America. \nThe digitized imagery of the painting ensures that this culturally significant work can be a sharing and learning experience for students and families anywhere.
