DESCRIPTION:10:30 am to 12 pm \nA great morning of art-making for children of all ages and families of all sizes.   A visit to the museum is included in this artist led workshop\, on the first Saturday of every month. We will meet in the Creative Classroom in the Pete V. DESCRIPTION:5:30 pm to 7:30 pm \nSalud y Sabor\, a partnership between the Agri-cultura Network\, Street Food Institute\, and the NHCC\, is a free evening of food\, art\, and entertainment aimed at providing families with an opportunity to connect around nutrition\, cooking\, healthy lifestyles\, and culture. \nOnce a month\, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh\, locally grown ingredients\, as well as fun art activities for kids and adults\, health screenings\, and live entertainment. An emphasis is placed on exploring traditional Hispanic dishes\, providing basic information/free screenings from local Western and alternative health practitioners\, and creating a vibrant atmosphere with art activities and live music. Please go to the OSW website HERE to get your name added to the waiting list. \n  \nFebruary 18\, 21\, 23\, 24 & 25\, 2018\n 2 pm—Saturday & Sundays\n 7:30 pm—Wednesday & Friday \nHector Armienta’s Bless Me\, Ultima is a fully-staged opera with orchestra\, sung in English with both English and Spanish supertitles and presented in three acts with one intermission.  This will be the world premiere of the Rudolfo Anaya masterwork. \nOpera Southwest\, along with the National Hispanic Cultural Center and San Jose’s Opera Cultura\, is thrilled to have commissioned an opera based on Rudolfo Anaya’s best-selling novel Bless Me\, Ultima. The composer\, Hector Armienta\, has worked with Mr. Anaya on the libretto\, and the resulting piece will be an historic event.
